David has had a hand in pretty much anything remotely funny on TV and radio in living memory. Well, almost. Certainly his brilliant touch was recognised by Bafta this year when he picked up an award for his work as a writer on Harry Hill’s TV Burp, After many years as a music journalist (he still writes for Q magazine), David pursued his comedy writing to develop – and star in – projects such as Radio 2’s Lloyd Cole Knew My Father (with former NME colleagues Stuart Maconie and Andrew Collins). He has also authored three Grumpy Old Men books as well as being a writer-performer on Radio 4's The Now Show as well as appearing on The News Quiz, The 99p Challenge, and We've Been Here Before He wrote 40 Years Of Fuck for BBC 4, and is the writer and host of the Radio 2 series The Blaggers Guide as well as starring as Doctor Dave The Music Doctor on Radio Rivron. Oh and you can probably blame him for many of the BBC and Channel 4’s “I love lists’-type shows. He has also scripted a number of major TV events including The Queen’s 80th Birthday Tea Party (the 2003 Golden Jubilee Special), The Duke of Edinburgh Awards concert and Rolf Harris’s 50 years in showbusiness special for the Prince of Wales, as well as ITV1’s The Avenue Of The Stars. David also co-authored and created The Junkies, the world's first internet sitcom, visited by one million people since it was first posted.
