Mark began his broadcasting career playing songs on the radio for ill people when he was just 15, even though you had to be 16 to get a slot on Mark's hospital station in the north of England. After he had lied his way on air, he managed to offend dozens of patients with his choice of music. Despite his protests that it contained a positive message, Don't Fear The Reaper didn’t seem to go down too well with the listeners. In the subsequent 11 years, Mark has worked at several radio stations across the UK and has also been a waiter, made stained glass windows, sold sweets and worked at a B&Q-type place where he learnt everything anyone could ever know about different types of wood (he has since forgotten it all). Mark's hobbies usually involve his best friend, Sambuca. Mark even does a bar shift in a pub at weekends just to be closer to Sam. And to pay off his bar tab.
